SUBJECT: FORMING A NEW CHAPTER

Hello,

I have a question about forming a chapter at my REDACTED REDACTED, REDACTED(REDACTED, California). What would be the process on doing so? I don’t think there’s a chapter there. 

I tried look (the national website and the local REDACTED California area Instagram account) for information on starting a new chapter.

There has been recent momentum for Palestinian solidarity, from last May and last year in June. The REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED's REDACTED REDACTED  wrote an article on the recent protest, where students and faculty gathered. Last year in June, a REDACTED REDACTED  (recent graduate, at the time) spoke out against the apartheid state of Israel and in support for Palestinian emancipation; the REDACTED REDACTED of CAIR wrote an article in support for the graduate against extreme hateful backlash, in REDACTED 2023.

I started building my awareness since 2022 (through watching YouTube videos by Hasanabi). Since last October, I have been researching and watching closely to the Palestinian emancipation movement and the apartheid regime of Israel. Last May, I wrote my English senior research paper on why there should be a ceasefire in the ongoing genocidal war in Gaza.

I am an incoming (recent graduate from my local REDACTED  school in REDACTED REDACTED, REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED) 2 year student, to REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED. I want to help build a REDACTED chapter there. I think, through the building of a community with both students and faculty, we can show a strong solidarity for the freeing of Palestine and with the work of activists (throughout Southern California, the nation, and across the globe).
